Cyber Phoenix removed from field - PB and CotH Empty
PostSubject: Cyber Phoenix removed from field - PB and CotH   Cyber Phoenix removed from field - PB and CotH EmptyFri Apr 06, 2007 12:29 pm

I have Jinzo #7 on the field, which was special summoned by Call of the Haunted.
I then summon cyber phoenix in attack mode, and as we know, Call of the Haunted
is negated, and therefore will not destroy Jinzo #7 if Call of the Haunted
leaves the field.

I then tribute Cyber Phoenix, a turn later, for Summoned Skull. My opponet
responds to Summoned Skull's summon by activating Mystical Space Typhoon,
targeting Call of the Haunted, and destroying it.

Now my question is, at this point, is Jinzo #7 still "linked" to Call of the
Haunted?

Thanks in advance

Daniel Levy

Answer:

"Cyber Phoenix's" Spell and Trap Card negating effect is only applied while it
remains in face-up Attack Position.

If "Cyber Phoenix's" effect is not being applied, it cannot protect its
controller's Machine-Type monsters from being destroyed by a "Premature Burial"
or "Call of the Haunted" that is targeting them.

In the situation described above, the "Jinzo #7" is destroyed when the "Call of
the Haunted" is destroyed.
