If I have a Cyberdark monster equipped with a Dragon-Type monster through its effect, what will happen when I summon "Cyber Phoenix"?
Answer:
The Cyberdark monster will retain the ATK it gains from the Dragon-Type monster it is equipped with. The ATK gaining effect belongs to the Cyberdark monster itself and is not being generated by the Dragon-Type monster it is equipped with. Sure "Cyber Phoenix" is negating the equipment dragon's effect... but the dragon has no effect to negate in this situation, so it doesn't really matter.
We saw this a few years ago with "Relinquished" and "Imperial Order", where the end result is the same. Negating the "effect" of the monster equipped to "Relinquished" is useless, because that equipment has no effect to negate.
