Jinzo vs Forced Back Empty
PostSubject: Jinzo vs Forced Back   Jinzo vs Forced Back EmptyMon Aug 13, 2007 3:30 pm

will forced back stop jinzo?

i have a player saying he saw a ruling saying that it does. i thought i saw a ruling saying that it would not. i would rule that jinzo will stop force back from activating.

Answer:

"Forced Back" negates the Summon of a monster when it is Normal Summoned or Flip Summoned.

When you negate the Summon of a monster, it is like the monster did not touch the field. It tried, but its Summon was negated.

Since "Jinzo's" Summon is negated, "Jinzo's" Continuous Effect does not get a chance to turn on because "Jinzo" did not successfully make it onto the field.

This is like negating "Jinzo's" Summon with "Solemn Judgment" or "Horn of Heaven".
