When Crystal Abundance resolves, I would like to know how to determine how many Crystal Beasts the Abundance player can special summon. My understanding from reading the card, was it is however many of your opponent's cards (such as, cards they own, in their deck) are sent to the graveyard via this card's effect. However, I was reading an article about a crystal beast duel, and they played abundance, and the opponent chained enemy controller to take control of the CB player's Sapphire Pegasus, and the article said that Pegasus counted towards the abundance.
Answer:
"Crystal Abundance" counts the number of cards that your opponent sent to the Graveyard because they were on the opponent's side of the field at the time "Crystal Abundance" resolved. Your card, that they were controlling at the time, is included in this sum.
For example, if my opponent has 2 Set Trap Cards, their "Gigantes" and my "Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle" on their side of the field, when "Crystal Abundance" resolves my opponent will send 4 cards to the Graveyard (3 of their own card + my 1 card they were controlling), so I will be able to Special Summon 4 "Crystal Beast" monsters from my Graveyard.
