Chain Cards like Accumulated Fortune - Function in longer Chains

You cannot activate this card if multiple cards/effects with the same name are in that Chain.

Lets say that this is the current chain:

Link 1: Jar of Greed
Link 2: Just Desserts
Link 3: Ojama Trio
Link 4: Accumulated Fortune

Would the restriction on accumulative fortune prevent me from adding another Jar Of Greed as Chain Link 5? Also, the part about multiple effects confused me. Does this mean that I could not do Jar of Greed and Legacy of Yata-Garasu in the same chain, with Accumulative Fortune?

Answer:

The activation restriction is only applied to "Accumulated Fortune" and does not apply to other cards.

This activation restriction is something "Accumulated Fortune" (and related cards) look at when you are deciding if you want to activate the effect. They look at the Chain and determine if "multiple cards/effects with the same name are in that Chain." They ONLY do this when you want to activate them. After they are activated, they don't care.

So you would be safe to chain another copy of "Jar of Greed" as Chain Link 5.

2 -

"multiple cards/effects with the same name" refers to activating multiple copies of a specific card (e.g. chaining 2 Reckless Greed) and it also refers to chaining the effect of a single card multiple times (e.g. Ryu Senshi used twice in the same Chain to negate two seperate Normal Trap Cards).

"Jar of Greed" and "Legacy of Yata-Garasu" may have a similar effect, however they do not fall into either category.
