Player A has 1 set s/t and 1 set monster. Player B activates Bait Doll, selecting Player A's set s/t (chain link 1). Player A chains his set s/t (MST) to Bait Doll (chain link 2) and selects Bait Doll.
Does MST resolve, destroying Bait Doll, sending it to the graveyard or because Bait Doll was activated correctly, forcing the correct activation of Player's A's MST, it's effect sends it to Player B's Deck?
I say Bait Doll goes to Player B's Deck because MST destroys a card, not negate the effect, which was correctly activated/resolved.
Answer:
If "Mystical Space Typhoon" is chained and it destroys "Bait Doll", the effect of forcing the activation of the selected face-down card is still applied, but "Bait Doll" itself is sent to the Graveyard because it was destroyed. "Bait Doll" is not returned to the Deck in this case.
If "Mystical Space Typhoon" itself is the targeted card, as is it is in this example, the forced activation of the face-down card will not be applied, because the selected card (Mystical Space Typhoon) is no longer face-down and certainly can't be forced to activate.
