if a card is picked up, how is it treated when it goes to the graveyard?

example: a player attacks a morphing jar#2 and one of the cards they pick up is despair from the dark, which is sent to the graveyard by mj#2 effect. will this card revive by its effect or will it remain in the grave since it was picked up by mj#2s effect?

Answer:

Cards that are discarded to the Graveyard after being "picked-up" are considered to go from the Deck to the Graveyard.

"Despair from the Dark" will activate its effect if you discard it to the Graveyard due to the effect of your opponent's "Morphing Jar #2".

For comparison, cards "picked-up" with "Morphing Jar #2's" effect will not trigger the effect of "Magical Thorn" when they are discarded, because they are treated as going from the Deck to the Graveyard.
