If my opponent plays a monarch and i respond with Bottomless Trap Hole, do the effects go on a chain leaving no monarch to resolve the effect?
If my opponent plays any monarch and i respond with Bottomless Trap Hole, does my opponents monarch's effect work?
Answer:
The Monarch's effect activates at the time it is successfully Tribute Summoned. Their effects are Spell Speed 1. If the opponent wants to activate "Bottomless Trap Hole", it will be placed onto the Chain with the Monarch's effect.
Zaborg, Raiza, Thestalos, etc. don't need to remain on the field to resolve their effects. Destroying them with "Bottomless Trap Hole" will not negate their effect.
