Skill Drain's impact on monsters with variable ATK and/or DEF

While Skill Drain will bring a Vennominon The King Of Poisonous Snakes down to ATK 0 since the card's effect is to increase its power by the number of "reptile type monsters" in the graveyard, how does the trap impact a monster's "variable" attack that was determined at the time of its summoning? Point in case: Chimeratech Overdragon. While the effect of attacking multiple times would be negated, the amount of ATK and DEF is not an effect, but a result of summoning. Would Chimeratech simply become a single-hitting powerhouse, or be dropped to a 0/0?

Answer:

From the FAQ:

"The ATK and DEF of "Gradius' Option", the ATK of "Maju Garzett", and similar monsters is 0 while "Skill Drain" is active, and is not restored even if "Skill Drain" is destroyed."

"Chimeratech Overdragon" falls into this same category. "Chimeratech Overdragon" will have its "I can attack X number of monsters" effect negated and its ATK will be 0.
