"Lich Lord, King of the Underworld" versus Ritual Empty

"Lich Lord, King of the Underworld"
If you Tribute Summon this card, the Tribute must be DARK. If this card is Tributed by a card's effect and sent to the Graveyard, it returns to its owner's hand.

First question) Does "Lich Lord" work with "Contract with the Abyss" or any other Ritual Spell card that Tributes monsters for a Ritual Summon at resolution?

Second question) I believe the answer is "No," but does "Lich Lord" get its effect when it is Tributed for the Activation Cost of a card? Such as "Enemy Controller" or "Deck Devestation Virus"?

Answer:

1) "Lich Lord, King of the Underworld" will return to its owner's hand if it is Tributed for a Ritual Summon, because it is being Tributed by a card's effect. It does not matter if the "Lich Lord, King of the Underworld" was on the field or in the player's hand.

2) Tributing "Lich Lord, King of the Underworld" to pay an activation cost will not activate its effect and as a result it will not return to its owner's hand.
