Elemental Hero Flame Wingman/Shining Flare Wingman's Damage Effect
Does Flame Wingman/SFW have to remain on the field for the damage effect to resolve?
For example, let's say that Flame Wingman destroyed a Newdoria as a result of battle, and Newdoria's owner targets FW.
Or let's say that SFW destroyed a Ryu Kokki as a result of battle.
Answer:
"Elemental Hero Flame Wingman" effect activates when the monster it destroyed in battle is sent to the Graveyard.
It does not matter if an effect is chained to destroy it at this time, because the effect is already activated.
For example, "Newdoria's" effect would be placed onto a Chain with "Elemental Hero Flame Wingman". In this case it would not matter if "Newdoria" destroys "Elemental Hero Flame Wingman" because the "Elemental Hero Flame Wingman's" effect has already activated.
The same is true for "Ryu Kokki" as well.
"Elemental Hero Flame Wingman" does not like being destroyed before it can activate its effect. This usually occurs because it was destroyed in battle (monster with equal ATK) or it ran into a flip-effect monster like "Cyber Jar".
