If a Crystal Beast is attacked, in face down defense position by a Swordsman LV2, does it go to the graveyard and not get any effect?
I say yes, because Swordsman LV2 states ..destroy the monster without flipping... The effect of the Crystal Beast would not be able to activate until it is allready in the graveyard, thus the timing is wrong for it's effect.

From the FAQ: "This ability cannot be used if a “Crystal Beast” monster is destroyed by a card effect while face-down."
The Crystal Beast will not be able to get placed onto the Spell and Trap Card Zone because it is destroyed face-down by the "Mystic Swordsman LV2's" effect.
