i dont care wats put on/off the list as long as pot of averice is banned

Goat Control doesn't work with 1 TER. I want there to be more then 2 playable decktypes which that banlist makes happen.

Why does Dice Jar need banning? It has the potential to do a lot of damage, but it also has the potential to hurt you a lot too. Avarice really doesn't need banning, and Painful Choice should not be unbanned for any reason. A free toss of the Frog, fuel for Necrofear, super speed for Exodia, draining away of cards in your deck you don't want to draw, synergy with Avarice......Painful should stay banned. Morphing Jar #2 probably doesn't need restriction either. Everything else makes sense to a greater or lesser degree.

I see the current ban list as being the one that has shown the greatest amount of different deck types be competitive. Quite honestly I could live with it as is. If there is anything I'd like to see changed it's only because I'm tired of seeing them, not because they're uber broken....

Cyber Dragon-Limited
Zaborg-Limited (unless Frog is banned)
Exiled Force-Limited (but not if Cyber Dragon is Limited)

Cyber Dragon and Treeborn Frog just give too much fuel for Zaborg. 3 Cyber Dragons and 2 Exiled Force are just too much potential for clear shots.

As I said though, none of the cards can't be worked around without changing the total makeup of a deck. With Cyberstien you had to side deck a LOT of things to help insure it had less of a chance....I don't see anything in the current format like that, at least not on a high percentage and with the likelihood of happening before turn 4-5.

Yes...but ending the duel is one thing, ending it in your favor is quite another.

ROD needs to be banned too.

You know I hear that a lot....Ring needing to be banned. That puzzles me....it's not like it's a OTK card, both players only are allowed one copy, the means to search for it in your deck are extremely limited (unlike Magical Scientist, Cyberstien, etc.).....I guess I'm just not seeing WHY people think it needs to be banned? Just because we've all lost a couple of games with it's untimely appearance?

You said Solemn was a waste, if it is a waste then why should it be banned?

That doesn't make any sense. Since Chaos Sorcerer is banned Chaos isn't playable.

i really dont remember asking if it made any sense but ohwell, besides chaos sorcerer needed banned, not much skill in removing a light and a dark, atleast with solemn you have to pay half ur life points and actually need to have some sort of idea when the right time to play it is.

but for my things i think should prolly be banned or restricted:

banned - graceful charity, treeborn, ring of destruction, and breaker

restricted - zaborg, cyber dragon, exiled force , chaos sorcerer, cyber jar

semi - chain strike, spirit reaper, metamorphosis, mystical space typhoon, jinzo


this has nothing to do with being banned or restricted, just something i think they should do is make is so you can only forfiet on your own turn, that way people who actually want to play a serious victory dragon deck can without ppl quiting the turn there attacking with it

Chaos Sorcerer was a lot more skill based then most people seem to realize, as was Black Luster Soldier. Most people would summon Chaos Sorcerer to remove unimportant stuff like Dekoichis, Tomatos ect then the more patient player that saved there Chaos Sorcerer for an actual threat can summon his and remove the other. Last tornument I played in the Chaos Sorcerer Format in the finals my opponent had two Chaos Sorcerers, one Zaborg the Thunder Monarch, one Mystic Tomato and a face down monster. I special summoned cyber tributed it for Enemy Controller to take his Chaos Sorcerer used its effect to remove his Zaborg the Thunder Monarch tributed his Chaos Sorcerer for Zaborg destroyed his face down monster attacked his Chaos Sorcerer with Zaborg then summoned my Chaos Sorcerer in main phase 2 to remove his tomato. That only worked because he timed his Chaos Sorcerer's very poorly where as I saved mine until the perfect time.

and that is why you are ranked highly in rankings, cuz you know when to play your cards and not just use them whenever you can, back in BLS days one of my buds always summoned him as soon as possible even if he wasnt removing anything or attacking with it

i agree with him the chaos monster r really need to have skill with them when i had my chaos deck i save those monster for a big treat that y i was so good in school untill i sold the deck to a very good friend of mine

Addressing the reasoning for Ring's banning, Ring has a quantity of major pros with only minimum cons.

Pros:
-Chainable in all phases
-If both copies are played, up to 4800 points of damage will occur, allowing many decks to take advantage of a quick kill. I understand that it affects both players, but it makes the game much more luck based, as you need fast cards to win.
-Basically free Monster Removal
-Is an easy source of last Life Point drain, so you can avoid SORL, Trap cards, etc. when finishing a duel.
-Creates Draws, which are really neither a pro or a con, but they make matches last longer.

Cons:
-A poor choice when low on Life Points
-Is a Trap, so not immediately usable when played

That's the reasoning I stand with, feel free to agree or criticize .

Ring does need banning because it is utterly too powerful. It usually results in a game over for a player or a huge advantage for that the other player.
