Hydrogeddon vs Dimensional Fissure Empty
PostSubject: Hydrogeddon vs Dimensional Fissure   Hydrogeddon vs Dimensional Fissure EmptySat Jan 20, 2007 8:02 pm

The rulings that Hydroggedon must be on the field to achieve the summoning effect after battle is clear. What I would like clarification on is this:

Player A has a Masked Dragon set.
Player B the turn player activates Dimensional Fissure and summons Hydrogeddon.

Player A enters Battle Phase and attacks set card. Damage Calculation is applied and Masked Dragon is destroyed. Masked Dragon gets removed and cannot activate it's Graveyard effect.

At this point Player B would attempt to special summon another Hydrogeddon from his deck.

My Ruling would be that Hydrogeddon has not met the requirements as the destroyed monster did not go to the Graveyard.

Thank you in advance.

Answer:

Neither monsters' effects will activate.

Since "Dimensional Fissure" causes the Monster Cards to be removed from play instead of going to the Graveyard, the effects for both monsters cannot be satisfied.
