Both of these cards require a monster to be "flipped face up" as opposed to "flip summon" or just plain FLIP:
My question is
1. If Alien Grey is flipped during battle and destroyed as a result of battle, does it allow you to draw a card as well as place an A-Counter or does it need to be flipped on your turn by flip summoning it or a card effect that flips it like Swords
2. If Nightmare Penguin is flip summoned during your turn, does Nightmare Penguin's bounce ability come into effect?
Answer:
1 - "Alien Grey" has two effects: a Flip Effect and a Trigger Effect.
If "Alien Grey" is flipped by an attack, its Flip Effect will activate and be applied after damage is calculated.
If the "Alien Grey" is destroyed by the attack, when it is sent to the Graveyard its Trigger Effect will activate, because it has been destroyed in battle and sent to the Graveyard.
2 - If you Flip Summon "Nightmare Penguin", its effect will activate.
