Yu-Gi-Oh
Sneak Preview
General Information

Iowa Events Center
Polk County Convention Complex
730 3rd Street
Des Moines, Iowa
50309

Here are some general guidelines for the
Yu-Gi-Oh Sneak Preview.

Anyone can participate in the Yu-Gi-Oh Sneak Preview - there are no age restrictions.
You keep the cards you receive.
There is no pre-registration, you just show up when you are ready!
There is no fee to view the Yu-Gi-Oh Sneak Preview, but to be able to get cards and play in the event, there is an entry fee.
You can bring cards of your own, but you will not be able to use them in events with the new cards. We may have some tournaments available where you can use your own deck - but the main idea of this day is to check out the new cards.
There are two main formats for the event that allow you to obtain new cards
- Casual Play - In this format you will receive 5 packs of the new cards, build a deck and casually play 5 other people. All players will then receive an additional pack as a prize for having participated. This is a great format for newer or younger players - or for players who have less time. You may enter this format as many times as you like (many players may play often as it is a great value!) You can usually take part in Casual Play in about an hour, hour and a half.
- Tournament Play - In this format you will receive 5 packs of the new cards, build a deck and play in a more formal tournament. This format takes longer and is more competitive - but there are more packs available as prizes. In this format, please figure on several hours or so to play.
Casual Play costs $20 (you will receive a total of 6 packs and a limited edition promotional card* - as long as supplies last)
Tournament Play costs $25 (you will receive a total of 5 packs to play and a minimum of 1 booster as a prize. If you have a good record, you may win more packs. Each player will also receive a limited edition promotional card* - as long as supplies last)
You may play in Casual and Tournament play if you like - as many times as you like - but there is an entry fee for each event you register for.
You will get new cards every time you register for a new event.
You can show up at any time during the day, usually until about 3 p.m. and still be able to get into casual play, perhaps even a tournament
Casual play and tournament play sign ups begin at 9 a.m. Constructed event sign ups will not begin until 1 p.m.

If you have additional questions, please call 847-470-9636
Thanks, and we hope to see you there!!!
