When you Attack with Toshiro Icy and use his effect to deplete your opponents potential defenders (before your opponent "declares" his defenders), is the attack still considered valid? Or does he need to deplete again for teh attack to push through?
Answer: A characters renewed/depleted status has no relevance in regards to an attack in progress.

So, Icy can renew himself as soon as he depletes for a declared attack, prevent defense, AND the attack goes uninterrupted?

That would be correct. and he would be able to attack again as a result.
