Just to make sure I'm not crazy, Convenience Store shuts off Mayuri's Guardian effect so unless he does something about Convenience Store then he can't do any damage right?

Convenience Store does not affect the Mayuri guardian. This would be treated as the same as how Mayuri - Squad 12 Captain's +1 effect also does not work with the Mayuri guardian.
