A problem that came up in a recent tournament.
As Fusion materials aren't considered costs, If you have Horus Lv6 on the Field
& activate Dragon Mirror to fusion the Five Headed Dragon:
i) can Horus Lv6 be 'targeted' by Dragon Mirror at all?
ii) If it can be, does Dragon Mirror Resolve correctly & five-headed dragon comes
to the field, but Horus Lv6 also remains on the field or does it get sent out of
play as well?
Example, if you have 3 Horus Lv6's on the field & 2 masked dragon's in the
graveyard, can Dragon's Mirror be activated and if so will you end up with
4 monsters on the field, 3 Horuses & 1 five-headed dragon?

Answer:
It would be a mistake to do this.
While "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6" is face-up on the field, it is unaffected by the effects of Spell Cards.
You can still activate "Dragon's Mirror" and you can even select the face-up "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6" as a target for "Dragon's Mirror", but when the effect resolves it will fail because it cannot remove the face-up "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6" from play. "Dragon's Mirror" will not remove any of its targets from play and will not Fusion Summon a Dragon-Type Fusion Monster.
